Yer right! Those are a couple of real stinkers. “I got a great idea! Let’s design a real cutesy web site with all the content hidden and make people move their mouse all over to try to figure out what’s there & where it is.”
Eschew obfuscation.
I saw a website on usability that had text the same color as the patterned background last week.
OMG! That was som irritating web designs.
I thought it was supposed to be about the ease of information transfer…not workng to just figure out how to get to it. If I want a puzzle I’ll play a game.
What bait! Even I must concur.
Hey, Mind!
Glad to see you still around. That one really did feel like a webgame.
Thanks for the concurrance, Troy. I somehow knew you’d click these and get a kick out of such an off the wall post.
Some stinkers there…I think you are one of the only blog sites that I visit that do what I do when linking to another site. We both make sure it opens it in another page so our site doesn’t get lost to the reader…bravo Jesse!
Thanks, DM. I started leaving it in the same window for about 3 days before I got some complaints. Obviously people know that I listen to constructive criticism and I take action.
Why drive traffic away from your site?
Don’t forget this gem.
Thanks Darren!
That William O. Brame - Webmaster needs to be dragged out into the street and slapped upside the head with a wet noodle for subjecting me to that crap!
For shame! A technology facilitator edjumacator, nonetheless.
