I’ll admit it: I almost completely broke down watching McCain’s concession speech. I nearly lost it when he said he was going to support Obama and Biden and the crowd started to boo, and he calmly said, “Please. Please.” I’m tearing up remembering that. It will be burned in my mind forever.
I woke up in a dismal mood this morning, with Beautiful not realizing that this result was going to have such a profound impact on me. It’s not about the man, the race, the war, the inexperience, the shady connections. It’s more than that.
I’m deeply saddened by 40% of our country knowingly electing a fully socialst, Marxist government whether they understand the meaning of those terms or not. They understood the claims and the promises and wanted it – badly.
Here are the facts: over 40 million people do not pay income tax. Those are split up between lazy, disabled, and permanantly upwardly immobile due to education, location, language, or immigration status (illegals). Of course they want what Obama claims. I’ve heard supporters say that they won’t have to buy food, fill their gas tanks, pay their mortgage, get a house for free, and eliminate poverty. Hasn’t every politician, especially Democratic candidates, claimed that since the 1800s? Has it happened? Study some history people. History repeats itself, and sometimes within a generation.
What is going to happen is those 40 million people are going to be shocked when they realize that they are ordered to go see the doctor annually in order to qualify for the State-sponsored healthcare, but there aren’t enough doctors practicing because of regulations and overload, and the wait times will be weeks or months. This is already happening in the Northeast where they have begun these programs. Now it’s going to come to your neighborhood.
Re-distribute wealth? Sure, if you’re making $12,000 per year and have to decide whether to put gas in your car to get to work or only buy enough food for your kids, that sounds great. What about when you get a break and get a promotion or a new job and find yourself making 3, 4, 8 times that? Your money is going to be taken from you and given to somone making $12,000 and not paying a dime of income tax, just like you were. Is that “pay it forward” or “give it back?”
Obama has stated that he wants to destroy ALL our nuclear weapons. Listen up. The Russians, Chinese, Israelis, British, French, and Indians are not going to destroy theirs, and Iran and South Korea are trying to get some. That is called being a sitting duck.
After enough time, those 40% are going to realize that socialism isn’t all that great (look up what kind of life the majority has in socialist countries) and will yearn for change. Hmmm. That sounds familiar. Without a balance of power in the government (Executive, Legislative, and Judicial) we will see things pass that have never passed before, and America will realize that they got exactly what they asked for.
