I know that looks like my words got jumbled, but I can’t nail down one song for my friendly “Tag, you’re it!” from Terry Starbucker today. This is for his request to participate in Songs That Make Your Heart Sing by Hilda Carroll.
I love music. To me, a good evening is a nice dinner and 2 hours of American Idol or a Joe Satriani concert on HD. I grew up with band, choir, and listened to tapes when I went to bed. I’d fall asleep listening to my Walkman trying to drown out the sound of the cicadas in rural Ohio on a warm summer night.
I’m an audiophile by nature and sport the best headphones I can afford (currently the Philips SHE9500 Premium Sound), and I listen to Yahoo! Music’s Launchcast all day long at my desk. To come up with my favorite song, I just couldn’t. You can’t nail me down to one book or movie, either. 🙂

- Born to Be Wild (dangerous for me to listen to in the car)
- Kryptonite
If those songs don’t wake you up and want to kick butt and take names, nothing will, IMHO. While I have thousands of songs in my ratings and dozens of “I love it”-rated songs, these will get me going every time. How about you, Phil, Steve, and Kent?

Now this is not my definitive list, but these popped in my mind first.
I like a Varity of music and, between the wife and I, have Thousands of songs on the computer, but off the top of my head here is my top 5.

Prolly the most kick ass metal i have heard in a long time. The other somgs of theirs kick ass to, but this song just seems to fit me and my way of thinking. I think I’m gonna listen to it now.

One-Metallica. Always a rocking good time.
Land of Confusion-Disturbed. Original rocks but this version cranks it to 11!
Let the Bodies-Drowning Pool. Need an asskickin?
The music in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom when Indy is rescuing the children after being brainwashed.
And last but not least:
I Stand Alone-Godsmack. This one is almost a tie with Fire & Flames. Nothing says me like this song. Put it into the same context that it was used in The Scorpion King. Thats me baby Big Brawny Badass. Course I’m quite a bit hairyer…really…..sasquatch looks at me and shivers.

I do know what you mean by that dangerous in the car stuff – “Pour Some Sugar on Me” by Def Leppard almost always causes a little swerving due to the drumming I MUST do.
